On 12th June, the Minds Association of Penang (MAP) organized a meaningful and enriching field tour for 26 young adults with special needs, accompanied by some of their parents, dedicated volunteers, and committee members.
The day began with an exciting visit to Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm, where participants were fascinated by the vibrant world of butterflies and insects. This immersive experience offered valuable educational exposure, sparking curiosity and wonder about the natural environment.
Next, the group was treated to a delightful lunch at Jendela Restaurant, located in the serene surroundings of Angsana Hotel, Teluk Bahang. The delicious food and beautiful ambiance provided a relaxing break and a chance for everyone to bond and recharge.
The final stop was at Penang Batik Craft, where participants had the opportunity to try their hands at batik painting. This hands-on activity was a creative highlight, allowing the young adults to express themselves through art while learning about Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage.
Throughout the day, the atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and learning. The tour not only gave our special needs participants a chance to explore, engage, and express, but also helped build confidence and meaningful connections.
MAP would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Entopia, Angsana Hotel, and Penang Batik Craft for their generous support through discounted rates and complimentary entries. Your kindness and partnership made this unforgettable experience possible.
We are truly grateful and look forward to more collaborative efforts that uplift and empower our special needs community.
